Lifestyle site recode.com is a destination for the world’s most influential technology stories.

The site’s new story feature, titled “Lifestyle Stories,” is part of a broader initiative to create an all-encompassing, all-content, multimedia experience that transcends media outlets, and that includes a “beverage of stories” from sites such as BuzzFeed, BuzzFeed Stories, Vice, The Atlantic, Vice News, Vanity Fair, Vice.com, Mashable, Vice’s sister site Vice, and Vice Media.

“It’s really about the whole experience,” Recode senior editor Matt Calkins said in an interview.

“You’re getting all the stories from all of these sites that have this big focus on what’s in the news, and you’re reading them on the site.

So we’re trying to take that and turn it into a really cohesive experience.”

Calkins, a former BuzzFeed employee, is now Recode’s chief technology officer.

He says the company has seen an increase in interest from brands in the digital space and he thinks the site’s story feature will have an impact on the conversation.

“We’re seeing a lot of brands, especially brands that are new to this space, asking us, ‘How can we help with the stories we’re doing?

How can we make it more appealing to a broader audience?'”

Calkin said.

“There’s a lot more to do.

I think it’s going to be a great conversation about what stories people want to read, and I think the stories you’re seeing now, they’re a really good place to start.”
